At Valiant Minds Counseling, Sam Kimball provides a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to therapy, creating a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, heal from past pain, and move toward a more fulfilling future.

With a deep passion for trauma recovery, grief support, and LGBTQIA+ mental health, Sam tailors therapy to each individual’s unique journey, recognizing that healing is personal and deeply connected to one’s identity, relationships, and cultural background. Drawing from years of experience as a domestic violence counselor, Sam brings a specialized focus on trauma-informed care, resilience-building, and emotional empowerment.

Currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) under clinical supervision, Sam is also a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Duquesne University, actively shaping the future of the counseling profession through research and mentorship.
